Personality:

✽ What is your character's main motivation? What drives them and keeps them going?
It would be oversimplifying to just say that the important people in his life are his motivation. More than the specific individuals he's concerned with, Hunter desires to be needed. He beats himself up when anyone else either implies or tells him outright that he failed them, or even when he simply believes it to be the case. The only time he's consistently confident or outwardly happy is when he is useful to others. He's only recently begun to learn to marry morality to his eagerness to please. Prior to that, he was so dedicated to a specific person and institution that he was comfortable ignoring situations that he knew on some level were wrong and even actively harming others, in so much as the hope that he would be validated by those he looked up to.

✽ What is their biggest regret? Why?
The horrible acts he committed in service to Belos haunt Hunter. He offered countless Palismen to be sacrificed for the betterment of Belos' supposed cursed condition. As the Golden Guard and Head of the Emperor's Coven, he ordered and committed acts that served only Belos, despite being led to believe he was doing things for the good of the Isles. He hunted, imprisoned, and condemned those deemed to use "wild magic" – as in, those who refused to submit to Belos' Coven system, which was ultimately the very method by which he planned to kill every witch. Even though Belos was stopped, Hunter realizes how wrong his actions were and struggles to forgive himself for them.

✽ What is their worst fear? Their greatest comfort?
- Presently, the thing he fears most is his friends discovering his origins and hating him for them. Hunter has learned that he is a clone of a witch hunter and was raised by a human whose goal is to eradicate witch- and demon-kind. Despite that Hunter himself was deceived by his "uncle," he's terrified of being rejected for this reason.

+ Hunter's Palisman is his lifeline. Meeting Flapjack was a turning point in his life that led Hunter to where he is now. Because of Flap, he allowed himself to make genuine friends and eventually discovered that his supposed family was simply using him and was subsequently able to escape. Even when he doubts everyone else's intentions or opinions of him, Hunter feels supported by Flapjack, because Flap saw the good in him when most others didn't, and encouraged him to embrace it.

✽ Top three strengths?
+ Curiosity: Even though it can sometimes place him in danger, Hunter has an insatiable hunger for knowledge and a desire to understand the world around him. If information isn't available to him, he will actively seek it out.
+ Loyalty: Hunter is fully dedicated to those he loves, so much so that he blindly followed Belos for years, believing he was his only family. He does show that when he deeply cares for more than one person, his stronger loyalties may favor those who stand to be hurt otherwise, such as hiding Flapjack's existence from Belos in an effort to protect him.
+ Perseverance: Even after failing again and again, even if he has moments of doubt, Hunter will continue to press on if he sees an opportunity. Whether it's finding that motivation to people-please or devising a new way of going about a situation that seems hopeless at first, he will eventually outstubborn any roadblock.

✽ Top three weaknesses?
- Arrogance: Having been raised to believe he is special in a way that makes him superior to others, Hunter can be quite egotistical. He's very confident in his knowledge and skills, to the point of often being dismissive of others'.
- Temper: When he's questioned or inconvenienced, he can be quick to snap. He gets rather easily worked up in a very loud and animated manner, even at sometimes apparently innocuous things. He's also prone to panicking when in unfamiliar situations, typically those of a social variety.
- Dependence: Hunter does not find fulfillment within himself, rather he needs to be validated by those around him to feel good about himself. Even when he projects an air of authority or acts superior to others, he is always seeking someone's approval.

✽ What was their last lie?
[terrified squeak of agreement] – corroborating a lie with his friend group in order to trick a god-like being into stopping the end of the world.

Inventory:
+ magic item/"animal" companion: his Palisman, Flapjack. Flapjack can switch between the form of a northern cardinal and a wooden staff.

Abilities:
+ Flapjack, in staff form, lets Hunter use limited magic; namely, flight while on the staff, firing shots of electricity, and short-distance teleportation. They can also communicate telepathically.
